russian federation uses rape and other forms of sexual violence as a war tactic, said the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine, Lyudmila Denisova.
Over the past 24 hours, several people from Oleksandrivka, Kherson Oblast, have called the Ukrainian Parliament's Commissioner for Human Rights psychological helpline.
They gave permission to publish information about the facts of sexual violence by russians:
two girls, 12 and 15 raped by the russians;
a girl, six months old, raped by the russians with a teaspoon;
Two two-year-old twin boys and their mother were at home. Five russians broke in; one held the mother, and two raped the children orally and anally. The children died from ruptures and blood loss.
A three-year-old boy was raped in front of his mother by two russians; the child died from his injuries.
Denisova reminded that sexual violence is strictly prohibited by Article 27 of the Geneva Convention of 1949 relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
She also asked UN Under-Secretary-General - Special Representative for Sexual Violence in Conflict, Pramila Patten, to initiate an investigation into the relevant russian authorities and bring perpetrators to justice and take measures to prevent sexual violence by russian troops.
As Denisova previously stated, mass reports of russian sexual crimes are coming from the liberated territories of the Kharkiv region.
Security Service of Ukraine published a photo of the russian military man who raped Ukrainian women. It is 21-year-old Bulat Fassakhov from Tatarstan.
