russia has deployed 25 battalion tactical groups in the Luhansk region, each with up to 500 men, said the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Gaidai.
"Count the number of soldiers thrown at us here to cut off the region or capture the town of Severodonetsk," Gaidai said.
According to him, the invaders are shelling the city around the clock with "everything there is."
"There are airstrikes, strikes on Azot, where civilians are in the bomb shelter. All residential buildings are shelled. As I already said, they simply position tanks and shoot all the shells at the nearest 9- or 5-storey building," added the head of the Luhansk region.
Gaidai said that in Toshkivka the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the line of defense, having expelled the occupiers.
Today the General Staff reported that occupying troops once again tried to break through defense of the Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk direction to surround and reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk region.
