The United States of America announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, the US State Secretary Antony Blinken said at the briefing.
He mentioned that President Joe Biden had approved the new aid package this morning.
The new military aid package includes long-range missile systems.
Antony Blinken didn’t name the exact size of the aid package but the day before the “Voice of America” correspondent reported that Ukraine would receive 700m dollars worth of weapons.
Reuters reported citing its sources that the new weapons which Ukraine would receive from the US included M142 high mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS).
By the way, US President Joe Biden wrote in his column for the New York Times that Americans would provide Ukrainians with more advanced missile systems and ammunition that would enable more accurate hitting of key targets on the battlefield in Ukraine.
