Kyevans must understand that the russians' attempts to reach the administrative borders of Luhansk and Donetsk regions will not stop their aggressive plans to seize Ukraine, including the capital.
This was announced by the Chief of Staff of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhiy Korniychuk.
"Kyiv, as the capital, is the priority goal for the capture of russian troops," he said.
Korniychuk stressed that the war affects everyone, so it is wrong to pretend that it is somewhere far away.
"Moreover, the fight against the enemy a few months ago was very close. As a result, we have Irpin, Bucha, Gostomel, Makariv, Borodyanka ... These cities are still recovering from the barbarism caused by russian troops. Therefore, we are monitoring the actions. the enemy and must do everything possible not to repeat it and prepare the city for a possible defense, if necessary, to give a decent rebuff to the enemy," he added.
It will be recalled that 390 buildings are in need of reconstruction due to the shelling of Kyiv. The missile threat from russian invaders persists. City officials are urging not to ignore air raids, adhere to curfews and light masks.
