The United States of America has confirmed, at various levels, that modern MLRS HIMARS are being sent to Ukraine. Ukraine also expects arms supplies from other countries. The Ukrainian government is working to bring the supply of modern combat systems to a much higher level, - the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced this in his address.
He noted that the EU is gradually moving towards the implementation of the 6th sanction package against russia. This is very difficult because the meaning of this package is in oil. The world is giving up russian oil, with other oil-producing countries planning to replace russian supplies.
Thus, according to the President, huge sums are being lost for the aggressor country in this direction. Russia is trying to counteract, it has been enjoying the flow of petrodollars quite long and does not want to wean itself from it. But it will have to get used to the reduction in income, as an inevitable consequence of the war.
Volodymyr Zelensky noted that even more and more embassies are resuming full-fledged activities in Kyiv. As of today, there are already 50 of them. This is very important, not only for the work of diplomacy, but also on a symbolic level. Every embassy that returns to our capital is a testament of faith in our victory.
The President of Ukraine said that the situation in Donbass has not changed significantly in a day. Ukraine has had some success in the battles in Severodonetsk, but there are now the fiercest fighting, as in cities and communities near Lysychansk, Bakhmut and others. The Russian army uses all available military capabilities and does not care about people at all.
"It is especially cynical that in the first line of attacks the occupier uses those people who were recruited in the previously occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Russian soldiers often simply hide behind these so-called mobilized soldiers,” Volodymyr Zelensky stressed.
The President also signed a decree awarding 223 participants in military operation state awards, 72 of them posthumously.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky accepted the credentials of three newly appointed ambassadors and started a new tradition of such ceremonies in Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv.
