UAF forced russian troops to withdraw from two settlements in the Severodonetsk direction.
This was announced on June 3 by the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Oleksandr Motuzyanyk.
According to him, Ukrainian troops thwarted attempts by the russian invaders to capture the villages of Metolkino and Bilogorivka.
"The enemy suffered losses and withdrew. As of this morning, the enemy, with the support of aircraft, is carrying out assault operations in residential areas of the central part of Severodonetsk. At the same time, they are also suffering losses. Currently, active fighting continues," Motuzyanyk said.
He also said that in the Bakhmut direction, the Armed Forces are preventing enemy attempts to push Ukrainian troops out of position and create conditions for further offensives.
Five enemy attacks were repulsed in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions last night, five tanks, three artillery systems and two armoured combat vehicles were destroyed. Air defence units shot down three Orlan-10 UAVs. In other areas, the russian invaders also suffered significant losses.
