In addition to the morning massive missile attack, Russia carried out 10 missile and 23 air strikes, as well as 14 MLRS attacks, on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements along the contact line during the day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in its evening update.
The General Staff noted that the Russians launched air- and sea-based cruise missiles, anti-aircraft guided missiles from S-300 air defence systems at energy and civilian infrastructure facilities in the eastern, central, western and southern regions of Ukraine - a total of 69 cruise missiles were used. Fifty-four of them were destroyed.
The Russian army is focusing its efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhya directions. It is also trying to improve its tactical position in the Lyman and Avdiyivka directions, and is actively defending at the Kupyansk and Novopavlivsk directions. In the Kherson sector the Russians are regrouping troops and sending them to other areas, reinforcing them with territorial troops and conducting positional defence.
