Finland allocates the 12th military aid package to Ukraine, which will include heavy artillery and ammunition, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"Defense Minister Mikko Savola said that Finland would supply Ukraine with heavy artillery and ammunition," the Finnish government said.

According to the statement, the cost of the equipment provided by this aid package is over 400 million euros. In total, Helsinki has supplied Ukraine with military aid worth 590 million euros.

Earlier, Finnish President Sauli Niinisto said that his country could transfer a small batch of Leopard tanks to Ukraine if a "joint European project to assist Ukraine" were launched. However, the number of armoured vehicles transferred cannot be large, as Finland borders Russia and is not yet a NATO member state.
