Today, one of the units of the Khmelnytskyy NPP was shut down due to Russian missile strikes on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine, the IAEA press service has said.

In addition, two of the three operating Ukrainian nuclear power plants - Rivne and South Ukrainian NPPs - have reduced electricity output as a precautionary measure due to the renewed shelling of the country's energy infrastructure.

These developments were confirmed by the IAEA Support and Assistance Missions at the plants.

These missions also confirmed that all nuclear safety systems at the Khmelnytskyy NPP were operating properly.

Russia launched more than 100 missiles during another massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. According to preliminary information, the enemy used 29 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 71 air- and sea-launched cruise missiles.
