President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on current issues, including coordination of government steps and decisions, the security situation and the work of law-enforcement agencies.
"It is very important that the content of my visit to Poland, the work of our delegation in Warsaw, and constant communication with Polish partners should be tangible for our frontline," he said.
"Defence and protection of our people, support for soldiers is No 1 issue in all talks," he added.
He thanked Polish cities that accepted Ukrainian refugees, including Rzeszów, Przemysl, Lublin, and Chełm among others. He noted that they proved that there were no barriers or obstacles between Ukrainian and Polish hearts.
Zelenskyy praised the paratroopers of the 80th Brigade, the soldiers of the 57th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade, and the 30th Separate Mechanised Brigade. He also acknowledged the efforts of the 35th and 36th separate marine brigades and the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade Zaporizka Sich.
"I am grateful to the Special Forces unit of the 1st Main Centre of the Main Intelligence Directorate who are fighting in Bakhmut. Well done, guys!" he said.
