In the morning of 16 August, the Russians shelled the centre of Kherson, reported the head of Kherson Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

"The Russians are shelling the center of Kherson. Do not go outside!" - wrote Prokudin.

Later, he reported on the consequences of the morning Russian shelling of the Kherson Region.

In Kherson, the enemy hit an educational institution and the territory of a hospital. Three people were injured.One of the victims is a patient of a medical institution. A 55-year-old man was undergoing treatment for an ischemic stroke. As a result of the shelling, his chest was injured.

In Zelenivka, the occupiers attacked a 45-year-old man who was working in the field. He was hospitalised with a leg injury.

A 60-year-old man received head injuries in Khreshchenivka. He is being treated.

Russians shelled Mykilske at midnight. A couple, a 60-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man, received moderate injuries in their own home. Now they are under treatment.

During the night, air defence forces downed 13 "shaheds" over Odesa and Mykolayiv regions. Launches were carried out several times from the southeast direction.
