Ukrainian Defence Forces freed Urozhayne of the Donetsk Region, reported Deputy Minister of Defence Hanna Malyar.
"Urozhayne have been liberated. Our defenders are gaining foothold at the lines," she said.
Malyar also emphasised that offensive actions are ongoing.
The area of the deoccupied territory in the Bakhmut direction is 40 square kilometres.
