On Sunday, 17 September, after midnight, explosions were heard in Kharkiv during an air raid alert.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synyehubov, reported on Telegram that the occupiers were striking at Kharkiv. He called on the city's residents to go into shelters.

"Russians are shelling Kharkiv again. For the second time in a day," Mayor Ihor Terekhov wrote on Telegram.

According to Brigadier General of Justice Serhiy Melnyk (Marseille), the enemy attacked Kharkiv first with S-300 air defence systems. The occupiers fired again from the Russian city of Belgorod. As of 00:40, there are no missiles in the air, but the threat of new missile strikes remains. Information on possible damage and casualties is being established.

According to local residents, there were at least four explosions in the city.

On the morning of 16 September, the occupiers launched five missile attacks on the Kholodnohirskyy district of Kharkiv. As a result of the attack, five civilians were wounded, their condition is moderate. The houses were damaged.
