Around midnight, Russians launched a missile attack from an S-300 air defence system at the town of Izium in Kharkiv Region. According to Kharkiv RMA head Oleh Synyehubov, the attack damaged the building of the fire and rescue unit and injured eight firefighters.
According to him, the victims were on duty at the time of the attack. Four firefighters were hospitalised in moderate condition, the rest did not require hospitalisation.
Over the past day, on 26 October, the enemy fired at settlements in Kupyansk and Izium districts. Dvorichna, Kyslivka, Berestove, Kurylivka, Borova, Bohuslavka and other localities were under Russian fire. Private houses and outbuildings were damaged.
Mine clearance is ongoing. Over the past day, SES pyrotechnics inspected more than 13 hectares of territory and defused 57 explosive devices.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy unsuccessfully continued assault operations in the areas of Synkivka and Ivanivka. Our defenders are giving the occupants an adequate response, and the Russians are not making any progress.
