The Ukrainian Armed Forces' StratCom has confirmed the strike on a strategic air defence facility in the west of occupied Crimea. A message on Telegram says that the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit it on the night of 30 October.
The attack was first reported by unofficial Russian sources. The Astra telegram channel wrote that the attack on the air defence field near Olenivka allegedly took place around 3 am, according to the Ukrainian bureau of Radio Liberty.
According to the channel, 17 occupation soldiers were wounded and a car was damaged. There was no official information about the attack from Ukraine or the occupiers.
"There is indeed a Russian air defence base in that area. In August, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine already reported that a Triumph system was destroyed near this village," the journalists reminded.
