Japan will contribute $37 million to a NATO trust fund for drone detection systems in Ukraine.
"Japan is actively promoting support for Ukraine. As part of our support, Japan has recently decided to contribute $37 million to the NATO Trust Fund to provide drone detection systems," Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.
According to Kamikawa, Japan has also supplied five mobile gas turbine generators and transported seven transformers to help Ukrainians survive the winter.
The minister will personally hand over the equipment.
