The Russian army shelled a local church in the village of Sadove in Kherson Region on Sunday, 7 January. A 73-year-old man was injured by the shelling, the Kherson regional administration reports.
"The Russian army shelled a church in the village of Sadove. A 73-year-old man was injured. He was diagnosed with an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to the abdomen. The victim was hospitalised. He is currently receiving medical care," the authorities said.
On 7 January, Kherson Region came under heavy Russian fire. Two people died and another woman was injured as a result of shelling of the centre of Kherson.
