The Cabinet of Ministers has left gas and electricity tariffs unchanged.
At a government meeting on 26 April, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that a resolution was approved in April that preserves the preferential gas price for heat and hot water suppliers to households until the end of summer.
"Also this week, the state-owned Naftogaz extended the preferential gas price for households. It will remain at UAH 7.96 per cubic metre of natural gas. Today, the Government is also deciding to extend the preferential electricity price for households. It will be UAH 2.64 per kilowatt. We leave this price unchanged," said Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister added that the provision imposing special obligations on electricity market participants will be extended until 31 May.
