On 26 April, a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence in the Ramstein format began, reports Yevropeiska Pravda.

According to US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin, the priority of the meeting will be to strengthen Ukraine's air defence, as Russia has recently intensified air strikes on the territory of our country.

"Today we will pay special attention to strengthening Ukraine's air defence. Ukraine critically needs more air defence systems and urgently needs more interceptor missiles. This will be a big priority for us today," Austin said.

Other important issues include artillery and armoured vehicles for Kyiv.

"Two years ago, I said we know what a difficult test you are going through and that we all support you. We still do, and we will not back down," Austin said.
