Ukrenergo is introducing emergency power cuts across Ukraine due to a shortage in the power grid. This was reported by the company's press service.
"Today, on 14 May, from 21:00 to 24:00, Ukrenergo is forced to introduce controlled emergency blackouts in all regions of Ukraine. The reason is a significant shortage of electricity in the system as a result of Russian shelling and increased consumption due to the cold snap," the statement said.
On 15 May, for industrial consumers, power limitation schedules will be in effect throughout the day, Ukrenergo added.
