In the first three months of the year, Ukraine lacked UAH 257.4 billion to fulfil its state budget expenditures. Roksolana Pidlasa, chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee on Budget, said in a statement.
According to the MP, the country's "own resources", which include state budget revenues (excluding grants from foreign governments), privatisation proceeds, repayment of loans to the state budget, and funds from the placement of domestic government bonds, amounted to UAH 550.1 billion in January-March 2024.
At the same time, expenditures, which consist of state budget expenditures, public debt repayments and budget loans, amounted to UAH 807.5 billion.
"The difference between our own resources and expenditures for the first three months of the year was UAH 257.4 billion. This amount is covered by international assistance - grants and loans," Pidlasa explained.
