The Government adopted a draft law on the State Agrarian Register at a meeting on 1 March. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"This registry has already been created, but it is important to regulate its work with a separate law and expand its functionality. 115,000 users are registered there. This is a simple and clear tool through which the state helps Ukrainian farmers," Shmyhal said.

He noted that the Cabinet of Ministers also adopted another decision to develop the agricultural sector in Ukraine, which concerns non-refundable grants for planting orchards and vineyards under the eRobota programme.

Thanks to the new changes, it will now be possible to receive UAH 330,000 for planting one hectare of grapes.

"We are increasing the amount of compensation by UAH 105,000 per hectare. The maximum grant amount is UAH 10 million. This money does not need to be returned if all the requirements are met, the main one being the creation of jobs," Shmyhal said.

The eRobota programme is a government initiative that provides non-refundable grants for starting and developing a business in Ukraine. The programme is aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, creating new jobs and developing ambitious projects.

In the summer of 2023, the Ministry of Economy reported that the state had invested UAH 4 billion in business development during the year of the eRobota programme. A prerequisite for receiving a grant is the creation of new jobs.
