The Ministry of Veterans Affairs is currently developing a new strategy for the transition from military career to civilian life. The first one was created a year ago, but the current interim acting Minister of Veterans Affairs, Oleksandr Porkhun, withdrew it.
Now the ministry, together with civil society and international experts, is proofreading it and plans to submit it to the government for approval in a month. Porkhun spoke about this during the discussion "A Country of Veterans: Opportunities and Challenges" as part of the LB.ua and EFI Group's New Country project.
"The Ministry has written a strategy for the transition from military career to civilian life. It was written about a year ago, and now, when I became the interim acting Minister of Veterans Affairs, I have withdrawn it," he said.
