The sowing campaign has started in Ukraine.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting on 1 March that farmers are returning to work in all regions, including the de-occupied communities, after inspecting farmland.
"Ukraine has already started the third sowing season during the full-scale war. Thanks to the warm weather, this sowing season is underway in four regions in the south," the prime minister said.
Shmyhal added that the draft law on the State Agrarian Register, which has been discussed since 2022, is being sent to parliament.
"This registrt has already been created, but it is important to regulate its work with a separate law and expand its functionality. Some 115,000 users are registered there. This is a simple and clear tool through which the state helps Ukrainian farmers," he added.
