The international rating agency Fitch Ratings has upgraded the credit rating of Naftogaz to 'CC'. This was announced by Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz Group.
"Despite the war, we are returning and strengthening investor confidence. The international rating agency Fitch Ratings has upgraded the credit rating of Naftogaz Group to 'CC'," Chernyshov wrote.
He noted that this was primarily due to the successful restructuring of Eurobond obligations. At the same time, the experts positively assessed the work of the Naftogaz team to increase production and ensure stable operation of the infrastructure, as well as improved operating financial performance.
Oleksiy Chernyshov noted that this will allow Naftogaz Group to raise funds on international capital markets on better terms, which will help strengthen Ukraine's energy independence.
