Today, on 20 December, parliament adopted as a basis and as a whole bill 10341, which simplifies the import of electronic warfare (EW) equipment to Ukraine, according to MP Iryna Herashchenko.

"The Verkhovna Rada has exempted from VAT the import of components required for radar systems and electronic warfare equipment, simplifying their import," Herashchenko wrote.

She said that parliament adopted as a whole the Law on Amendments to paragraph 32 of subsection 2 of section XX "Transitional Provisions" of the Tax Code of Ukraine on the peculiarities of importing goods for security and defence needs into the customs territory of Ukraine #10341.

The taxation will not apply to goods received by law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces, security and defence forces.

"We are talking not only about imported radar devices, but also about those produced in Ukraine," Herashchenko said.

In late November, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhaylo Fedorov said that Ukraine would create an "Army of Robots" and an "Electronic Warfare Army".
