Today, on December 20, Ukraine received EUR 150 million of non-refundable financial assistance from the EU, the Finance Ministry has said. The funds are part of the Financing Agreement between Ukraine and the EU ''Support to Ukraine's fast recovery''.
"The grant funding will help to ensure priority measures for the restoration of critical facilities affected by the armed aggression of the russian federation, including transport infrastructure, utilities and services, social infrastructure and residential buildings," Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said.
The second tranche of EUR 100 million is expected in the first quarter of 2024. The funds will be used to finance recovery measures and support small farms and other agricultural businesses.
