On the night of 6 September, the Russian army attacked Ukrainians with an X-59 guided missile and X-31P missile from the airspace of the occupied part of Luhansk Region and from Bryansk Region, as well as 44 Shahed-type attack drones (launch areas: Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia, and Chauda, Crimea).
As of 8 a.m., air defences had shot down 27 drones, and another eight were lost in Ukraine (presumably due to electronic warfare). One drone flew back in the direction of the occupied territory of Donetsk Region, according to the Air Force's Telegram.
"Several more aerial targets (probably attack drones) are observed in the airspace in the north. Combat work continues!" the statement said as of 8:17 a.m.
This day, air defences were operating in Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsya, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolayiv, Kherson, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Sumy Regions.
