Yemen’s Houthis have struck an airport in eastern Saudi Arabia.
Two people were killed and eight others injured in the attack, the BBC reports.
The Houthis said they attacked the airport with missiles and drones. In addition, they struck the country’s capital, Riyadh, and other key facilities.
Meanwhile, two more workers — nationals of the Philippines and Nepal — were killed after debris from another drone fell on an Aramco oilfield.
According to the authorities, at least 21 people have been killed since the beginning of October in similar Houthi attacks on the country’s airports. The deadliest was a missile strike on 10 October on the capital’s airport, where 13 people were killed and more than 300 were injured.
The Houthis say their actions are retaliation for strikes by the Saudi-led coalition on Yemeni territory. Fighting between the sides has continued since 2014, but the situation escalated again in July, when the Houthis began regular attacks on Saudi airports, tankers and oil facilities.
