The National Agency on Corruption Prevention has, since the start of this year, recorded false information totalling more than UAH 1 billion following checks of asset declarations by officials at various levels.

This is stated on the NACP website.

Law enforcement officers have already completed the pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to court against a deputy of the Kurnenske village council in Zhytomyr region, who concealed assets worth more than UAH 3.6 million in declarations for 2023 and 2024.

Meanwhile, a court found a deputy of the Lynovytsia settlement council in Chernihiv region guilty of an administrative offence and punished him for failing to declare more than UAH 2.15 million in his report for 2025.

In October alone, the NACP submitted 12 substantiated findings to law enforcement agencies regarding suspected falsification of data.

In particular, significant discrepancies were found in the declarations of a deputy of the Andrushivka city council in Zhytomyr region, who concealed more than UAH 16.3 million in the declaration for 2024 and more than UAH 18.3 million in the declaration for 2025; a deputy of the Berezivka district council in Odesa region, where discrepancies of more than UAH 6.7 million for 2024 and more than UAH 9.7 million for 2025 were identified; a deputy of the Kompaniivka settlement council in Kirovohrad region with undeclared UAH 7.7 million in each of the reports for the past two years; and a deputy of the Murovane village council in Lviv region, who failed to declare more than UAH 7.6 million for each of 2024 and 2025.
