An operation to lift the blockade of the occupied town of Oleshky and surrounding areas is set to begin in the near future. Its aim is to establish permanent humanitarian corridors for the safe evacuation of civilians and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
This was reported by the head of the "Servant of the People" parliamentary faction, David Arakhamia.
"To achieve this goal, a ceasefire regime will be reached in the near future, as announced by US First Lady Melania Trump.
This was a lengthy process involving many people at different political levels. We particularly want to note the role of the Pope and US First Lady Melania Trump.
We express our sincere gratitude to them," Arakhamia said.
Details of the operation, as well as information on its progress, will be provided by Ukraine’s Ombudsman, Dmytro Lubinets.
