A drone was found in the village of Kishtelnitsa in Moldova’s Telenesti district after it crashed 100 metres from a residential building.

This was reported by Moldova’s police.

According to preliminary information, no one was injured as a result of the drone’s crash.

Law enforcement officers cordoned off the area to ensure the safety of local residents. Specialists from the police bomb disposal unit also arrived at the scene to inspect the object and establish all the circumstances of the incident.

Police urged citizens not to approach drones, their debris or other suspicious objects, not to touch them, and to stay away from the danger zone until checks are completed.

Moldova’s Ministry of Defence said that during a Russian attack on Ukraine, a drone was unlawfully present in the country’s airspace. The drone disappeared from monitoring systems twice, most recently near the village of Misheni in Rezina district.
