One of the main topics was the opening of the final two clusters of accession talks for Moldova’s entry into the EU. Officials also discussed the security situation in the region — Ukraine’s resistance to Russian aggression, hybrid threats from Russia, and regular violations of Moldova’s airspace by Russian drones and missiles.
- On the same day, it emerged that the drone that crashed on 23 October in the village of Kishtelnitsa, Telenesti district, was a Russian attack Geran-4-type drone. Specialists neutralised and destroyed its warhead.
- As for EU enlargement, Hungary recently spoke out against opening the final two clusters within the talks on the accession of Ukraine and Moldova to the European Union. Budapest did not explain its actions.
