Marines, together with fellow units defending Ukraine as part of the Southern Joint Forces grouping, delivered nearly four tonnes of humanitarian aid to residents of temporarily occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region.

This was reported by the Southern Forces grouping.

The humanitarian operation involved the 34th Separate Marine Brigade “Borysfen”, the 11th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 34th Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine, and the 79th Border Guard Detachment. Using drones, the troops delivered food and essential medicines to the city.

According to intelligence, Russia is preparing dozens of staged videos in Oleshky. Local residents are expected to be forced to record statements claiming there are supposedly satisfactory living conditions, adequate food supplies, and gratitude to the occupiers.

The brigade stresses that such coerced statements do not reflect the real situation facing people. Oleshky residents need food, medicines, safe access to humanitarian aid, and the opportunity to leave the city.

The troops note that the delivered aid is vital support, but the needs of local residents remain far greater.
