PGO: forensic experts confirm authenticity of voices on Saakashvili tapes

Ex-CEO of Brokbusinessbank, Oleksandr Dynnik, is belived to have been involved in the money transfer.

SBU's Research Institute of Special Techniques and Forensic Examinations conducted a phonoscopic examination, which confirmed the authenticity of voices on the audiotaped phone talks between Mikheil Saakashvili and the runaway oligarch Serhiy Kurchenko, the press secretary of Prosecutor-General Larysa Sarhan said in a Facebook report on Friday, 29 December

The SBU said it has has questioned about 15 people in the probe involving Saakashvili, Kurchenko, ex-COB of Brokbusinessbank Oleksandr Dynnik, and Severion Dangadze, an aide of Saakashvili.

The PGO said that the investigation has data on the transfer of 500 thousand dollars from Kurchenko to the people of Mikhail Saakashvili. Kurchenko allegedly decided to sponsor the leader of the Movement of the New Forces in exchange for the return of Kurchenko seized assets.

Saakashvili and Kurchenko later denied any contacts between them.
