Tymoshenko calls for a no-fly zone over Ukraine

There are more than enough reasons to do so, according to Tymoshenko.

Tymoshenko calls for a no-fly zone over Ukraine

Leader of the political party “Batkivshchyna”, Yulia Tymoshenko, has called on NATO countries to close the sky over Ukraine in her address.

"Close the sky over Ukraine! Our children can only pray as rockets and bombs are fired at from the Kremlin. They want to live, not die. Close the sky over Ukraine! Ukrainians are pleading to you, and so are millions of people around the world. Attacks on our nuclear power plants also pose a nuclear threat to the whole of Europe. Close the sky over Ukraine for the survival of the world," Tymoshenko urged.

According to her, the case for a no-fly zone over Ukraine has been made long ago, with the attack of the Russian army on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant; tank strikes on nuclear reactors; deaths of civilians; the refugee crisis; destruction of civilian buildings such as schools, hospitals, and homes.

"Today, Ukraine is fighting for the values of all humanity. We are fighting for all of you, and we need your help and protection. Don't ask me whose war it is. It has been everyone's war for a long time. Refusing to close the sky over Ukraine is drawing an arbitrary line in this war that was waged to all of us. We must be guided by our values and principles, because those who are scared to decide to close the sky over Ukraine today may not survive until tomorrow. Close the sky over Ukraine! Save Ukraine and save Europe!" Tymoshenko stated.
