Russian Troops Will Stage a "Great Terror" in Kherson to Quell Protests - The Times

Russia plans to stage a "great terror" in Kherson to quell local protests. This was reported by The Times, citing sources in the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation(FSB RF).

Protesters are likely to be abducted and deported to Russia.

The letter, probably written by a Russian security official, said the Kremlin no longer wanted to "play well" with protesters in the Ukrainian city, where people go to the streets every day to drive the occupiers out of Kherson. The FSB says that if they managed to identify the leaders of the protest movement, these people would have been eliminated. The protesters are saved by the fact that the Russian special services do not know who exactly they need to capture.

The "Great Terror" will be aimed at reducing protests through "extremely harsh methods of dispersal", including "severe injuries" to some protesters.

The operative information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past 24 hours also mentions the harsh actions of the occupiers against the civilian population of Kherson. "In the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region, because of the peaceful protests against the occupation, the enemy is terrorizing the local population, actively using units of russian guard to prevent these actions of civil disobedience to the occupation authorities," the statement said.

Pro-Ukrainian rallies in occupied Kherson take place almost daily. The occupiers threw light and noise grenades at the peaceful protesters and used tear gas against them.
