On March 24 Ukraine evacuated over 3 thousand people from the temporarily occupied territories. Seven humanitarian corridors were open that day. This information comes from Iryna Vereshchuk, the Minister of Reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories.

  • This way, 2 717 people reached from Mariupol to Zaporizhya.

  • 117 people, including 35 children from the local boarding school, reached from Polohy to Zaporizhya.

  • 509 people reached from Dymerka, Bervycya and Bogdanivka in the Kyiv region to Brovary.

In addition, an evacuation column will leave Melitopol tomorrow. Humanitarian aid was delivered to the town of Polohy.

However, for the third day in a row, the Russian military blocked 50 buses in Berdyansk. The buses were waiting to evacuate people from Mariupol. Trucks with humanitarian aid and a fuel truck were also blocked at the occupiers' checkpoints.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelensky issued an Order dated March 24 authorizing the first full-fledged exchange of prisoners of war. 19 sailors from Zmeinyi Island and 10 more servicemen are returning to Ukraine.
