West Ham supports Ukraine in Europa League match against Lyon

The message "Peace – Myr" appeared on the huge screen before the German referee Felix Zwayer's starting whistle.

The first quarter-finals of the Europa League took place a day before.

Among others, the Ukrainian soccer player Andriy Yarmolenko's West Ham met the French Lyon.

The match ended up with an effective draw – 1:1.

The hosts yet again showed their support to Ukraine: before the German referee Felix Zwayer's launching whistle the text "Peace – Myr" ["peace" in Ukrainian – tr.]" was displayed on the huge screen.

Besides, banners in the colors of the Ukrainian flag lit up all over the stadium from time to time, and the team's slogan "Come On You Irons" (COYI) was also highlighted with blue and yellow. 

Yarmolenko didn't participate in this game.
