Slovakia transferred to Ukraine S-300 air defence systems. This was announced on April 8 by the Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger.
"The Ukrainian people are bravely defending their sovereign country and us as well. It is our duty to help, not to stand aside and ignore human sacrifices as a result of Russia's invasion," he says.
I would like to confirm that #Slovakia has provided #Ukraine with an air-defence system S-300. #Ukrainian nation is #bravely defending its sovereign country and us too. It is our duty to help, not to stay put and be ignorant to the loss of human lives under #Russia’s agression.

Eduard Heger, together with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, are visiting Kyiv today.
S-300 are anti-aircraft missile systems, designed to combat strategic and tactical aircraft, cruise, operational, tactical and ballistic missiles at altitudes from 25 m to 27 km and at distances up to 100 km in conditions of intense radio resistance, writes "Militarnyy".
Germany and the Netherlands, at NATO's request, would supply Slovakia with American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems instead of its S-300 air defence systems. Slovakia will hand them over to Ukraine then.
