Kyiv, Vilnius to jointly support war-affected Ukrainian children

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and his Lithuanian colleague Ingrida Šimonytė signed an agreement on cooperation in the protection of children affected by war in Ukraine.

This was reported in the press service of the government.

According to Denys Shmyhal, the agreement provides mechanisms and tools to support children who have been forced to leave for Lithuania, as well as to ensure their return to Ukraine after the end of active hostilities. 

Ingrida Šimonytė stressed that Lithuania will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Ukrainians.

"We will do it as much as necessary," added the head of the Lithuanian Government. 

The Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Lithuania also discussed the financial support and filling of the Ukraine Recovery Fund. 

Earlier, the Cabinet set up a working group to protect Ukrainians who left the country because of the war.
