In the Kherson region, 58 orphans and children deprived of parental care have been hiding in the basement of a local church for more than a month.
Of these, 10 children are aged between 4 months to 1 year, and the others are under 4 years, including children with disabilities who need special care and treatment.
"We have found a safe place for the children in the region of Ukraine, where there are no active hostilities. There the children will be provided with all necessary help, treatment, and care,” the statement reads.
Denisova called on all those who can assist in the transfer of the children to a safe region of Ukraine, not to stay aside and do everything possible to open and operate a humanitarian corridor and evacuate the children.
As reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, as of the morning of April 25, more than 606 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of armed aggression by the russian federation. According to official figures, 215 children were killed and more than 391 injured.
