In the Slovyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repulsed the assault of russian occupiers who were advancing toward the settlement of Dovhenke, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) inflicted losses on the russian occupiers so the enemy retreated.
The UAF also repulsed the enemy assault in the direction of Novookhtyrka and Voronove in the Lyman direction.
Besides, the invaders can not take control of the Bakhmut – Sievierodonetsk road: the UAF is nullifying all the occupiers’ efforts. Also, russians focused their efforts on an attempt to establish full control over Sievierodonetsk and are blocking Ukrainian units near Lysychansk.
According to the General Staff, the situation in other directions as of 6 p.m. on 6 June is as follows:
in the Siverskyy direction in the Bryansk region [russia – tr.] near the state border the russian federation is deploying artillery units.
in the Slobozhanskyy direction, the hostilities in the border districts north of Kharkiv are ongoing.
in the Kharkiv direction, the occupiers are carrying out defensive battles to repel the advance of the Ukrainian Defence forces units toward the border and keep the Belgorod – Kupyansk road under their control. In the districts of the settlements Shestakove, Peremoha, and Bayrak, the invaders carried out remote mining of the area.
in the Donetsk direction, at some ranges, the combat training of the enemy motorized infantry and tank units supplemented by mobilized troops was noticed.
in the Lyman direction, the occupiers shelled Ukrainian units with mortars and artillery in the areas of Tetyanivka and Pyskunivka. They also conducted a strike at Mykolaivka, The fighting in the eastern part of Sievierodonetsk is ongoing.
in the Bakhmut direction, the rushists [russian+fascist – tr.] are shelling the districts of Berestove, Fedorivka, and Myronivka using barrel and rocket artillery as well as mortars. They carried out an air strike by Ka-52 near Roty. And to reconnoiter the routes of advance and clarify the positions of our troops, the enemy uses sabotage and reconnaissance groups operating in the area of Bilohorivka.
in the Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhya directions, there were no active hostilities. Russians carried out artillery shellings in the areas of Bohoyavlenka, Volodymyrivka, Malynivka, and Shcherbaky. Also, in the Zaporizhzhya direction, the rf strengthened its forces up to the size of a battalion tactical group.
in the South Buh direction, occupiers are trying to keep the frontiers occupied and preparing to intensify the hostilities.
Near the settlements of Kupyansk-Vuzlovyy in the Kharkiv region, russian forces are building a pontoon bridge.
The Ministry of Defence reported on 6 May, that the UAF forced a reconnaissance and sabotage group to retreat in the Pavlivskyy direction and are fighting for Sievierodonetsk.
