Russia has struck Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Region with missiles, mayor Oleksandr Sayuk has said.
The missiles hit the coastal area on the evening of August 27. Several buildings were damaged.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties. There is no air alert at the moment, but be careful and observe safety rules," Sayuk asked the locals.
He added that all infrastructure in Nikopol was in operation.
In in this morning's report, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported that the Russians shelled Nikopol with tanks, barrel artillery and multiple rocket launchers in the area.
On the night of 27 August, they shelled Dnipropetrovsk Region 10 times. Two districts - Nikopol and Kryvyy Rih - came under enemy fire.
