The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has approved the draft state budget for 2023, in which inflation is forecast to grow to 30%, the deputy head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, has said on Telegram.
"The projected GDP for 2023 is projected as 6,371.3bn hryvnyas. GDP growth of +2.5% relative to 2022 (where the projected decline is -33.1%). Inflation +30%," Zheleznyak said.
The MP added that the minimum wage and living wage will not tentatively change - 6,700 and 2,589 hryvnyas respectively.
The dollar exchange rate is set at 42 hryvnyas.
The Finance Ministry earlier reported that the draft state budget for 2023 does not envision an increase in the minimum wage.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the draft state budget for 2023 will include more than 1 trillion hryvnyas for the security and defence sector, as well as for the indexation of pensions.
