Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova said that the Ukrainian military will be trained to use the Patriot missile defence system quickly and as efficiently as possible.
She said this during a conference of Ukrainian ambassadors, Ukrinform reports.
"I cannot disclose many things... The training will be carried out in the most effective way and in such a way that it will be quick," Markarova said.
Commenting on the results of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to the United States, she noted that this visit can be called "not just positive, but a true breakthrough".
"We already see concrete results. Literally on the day of the visit and the next day, when we were returning home, a number of draft laws were adopted, some of which were not guaranteed to be adopted... We see the decisions on weapons that have already been announced, new capabilities, Patriot, a number of new capabilities, the allocation of which is not deciphered, but which, I hope, we will soon see on the battlefield," Markarova noted.
On 21 December, President Zelenskyy made his first foreign trip since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. He visited the United States, where he met Joseph Biden and addressed Congress.
The US President confirmed that the United States will provide Ukraine with Patriot systems and is considering the possibility of training Ukrainian servicemen. Until 24 February, the USA trained Ukrainian military in Europe.
