Following a proposal by Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, the government has decided to introduce the Delta system in the Defence Forces.

The relevant resolution was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on 4 February, the Defence Ministry's press service reported.

"Delta is a situational awareness platform created by the Centre for Innovation and Development of Defence Technologies of the Ministry of Defence," it explained.

The Centre for Innovation adds new functionality to the platform, which gives our military a significant advantage over the enemy, the military emphasized.

"In addition to the use of the platform by the military, the government has allowed Delta to be deployed in the cloud outside Ukraine. This will help protect the system from enemy missile and cyber attacks," the ministry said.

Delta is a national military situational awareness system used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security and Defence Forces; it is built according to NATO standards, which makes it possible to conduct network-centric warfare.

The system integrates information about the location of enemy forces and assets and allows real-time tracking of the position of enemy troops and promptly registering detected targets for their further fire damage. The system integrates information about the enemy on a digital map, with data taken from various sources: satellite imagery providers, radars, sensors, GPS trackers, and radio intercepts. Users can see what is happening on land, at sea, in the air, in space, and in cyberspace. The system can run on any device: laptop, tablet or mobile phone.
