Since 24 February 2022, Russia has carried out almost 5,000 missile and 3,500 air strikes on targets in Ukraine, as well as almost 1,100 strikes using drones, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff, Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, said at a briefing.
"Overall, since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression, Russian occupational forces have launched almost 5,000 missile and almost 3,500 air strikes against Ukrainian targets. Almost 1,100 strikes were carried out with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles," noted Hromov.
He added that in February alone, the defenders eliminated six enemy aeroplanes and two helicopters, and shot down 80 cruise missiles and 84 drones.
On Monday, 20 February, Russians fired 11 anti-aircraft guided missiles at Ukraine during another attack. Of these, 10 fell in the Belgorod Region.
