Popasna is no longer officially taken into account by the occupiers - the settlement is absent from the list of urban and municipal districts, according to the Luhansk Military Regional Administration.
"The "laws" "On the administrative-territorial structure" and "On the formation of urban and municipal districts on the territory of the "LPR" were enacted in the so-called "LPR". In particular, 11 urban and 17 municipal districts were approved. None of the lists includes Popasna," the statement said.
If earlier the occupiers only talked about the inexpediency of restoring the town, which they themselves had destroyed, recently they have confirmed their decision at the "legislative" level.
The settlements of the former district were subordinated to the nearest towns.
