In the temporarily occupied Melitopol of Zaporizhzhya Region, the occupiers have banned payments to residents who refused to receive Russian passports, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement this morning.

The Russians continue to force passports on Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories.

"In the city of Melitopol, the Russian occupational authorities, together with representatives of the Russian Federal Tax Service, have banned any payments and settlements to citizens who do not have a Russian taxpayer registration number. This, in turn, can only be obtained with a passport of a Russian Federation citizen," the report says.

Earlier reports said that in Melitopol, the occupiers intensified checkpoints and conducted a series of searches after a collaborator's car was blown up in the city centre.
